Sony Vegas 6 is out
The release of Sony Vegas 6 is not news, but if you’re familiar with Video Editing programs and tools you must be excited.
Formerly known as Vegas Video, this is a great Video Editing program with very powerfull features that directly competes with the most popular programs, for example: Adobe Premiere. I personaly edit video since their 3rd version and it just keeps getting bigger and better.

Sony Vegas, as it is known now, is full of great features such as: multitrack video editing (real-time SD, DV and HDV!) with unlimited tracks; unique audio workflow (supports 24-bit/192 kHz); dozens of video/audio effects/transitions; real-time preview with effects; support of 24p DV, mpeg-2 and .swf import; direct capture and import; etc.
Vegas® 6 software combines real-time SD, DV, and HDV video editing with unrivaled audio tools to provide the ultimate all-in-one environment for creative professionals — high-definition and high-fidelity. With its unique, visual approach to digital video and audio production, Vegas delivers tremendous power, incredible speed, and maximum productivity in an uncomplicated, efficient platform.
You can also check the Vegas+DVD package which contains Vegas 6 itself, DVD Architect in its 3rd version and Dolby Digital AC-3 encoding software.
Great software worth giving a shot over Premiere, in my opinion!
